CSR V4.0 Dongle on windows 10 PC. I recently purchase this product to use to connect my Bluetooth earbuds with my PC. I have inserted the dongle into the USB port however the PC will not connect with them. I have the mini disk supplied with the dongle however I have a standard size disk drive. This thread is locked.
The default Bluetooth drivers Windows installed just do not work. I have tried the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack drivers and they work but have issues and are very old. BlueSoleil drivers work but are too expensive. TL;DR. In the end I am using the CSR Harmony drivers that came with my Bluemate4 USB Bluetooth dongle, and they work fine.
Finally I had got it working with (at least) OS X Mavericks. For the story, CSR8510 A10 chip is a dual-mode chip. On your dongle, and mine ("It Works" - Micro Bluetooth 4.0 USB Adapter from Darty in France), the dongle boot in HID mode by default (VID 0A12 PID 100B).
