1366 posts · Joined 2009. #1 · Nov 24, 2012. On our F25 I spent 30 minutes and two types of metal/chrome polish trying to remove the baked on black carbon on the end of the exhaust tips. It would not come off. I have never experienced this problem on any of our other 3 BMW's.

A conundrum. I went out to look at mine. In the old days, we'd use the bumper jack and then put the stand in. But, looking at the x3, I would raise mine where the wheel assembly attaches to the frame. Im sure someone will correct me if this is wrong. Either way, I wonder what the official BMW way is.
